Guatemalan designer, with his brand he has developed more than 20 collections. Edgar Navarro Brand was born in 2011, and the presentation of the designer's first collection was launched in Washington thanks to the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The IDB was interested in the work he did with artisan communities in Guatemala and decided to support him in launching the brand at its headquarters in Washington D.C.
Since then, Edgar Navarro has been creating collections focused on the importance and quality of handmade production techniques. His designs go beyond being garments for daily use; they are loaded with symbolism and emotional depth combined with energetic crystals and concepts surrounded by mysticism.
Currently, Edgar Navarro collaborates with more than 50 artisans in the Tz’utujil region in Santiago Atitlan. Together, they create and develop all artisanal bead and weaving techniques. In addition to this group, the work in silver and jade is carried out by two artisan workshops in Antigua Guatemala.
Navarro has managed to position himself as one of the most active designers in the Guatemalan fashion industry and Central America. His work has been exhibited on platforms such as Vogue Japan, Vogue Mexico, Vogue Italia, L'Officiel, Vanity Fair, Glamor Magazine, CNN, Glamoholic Magazine, Reforma México, among many others.
